ALLERSTON ANNUAL MEETING

 

Minutes for the meeting of Allerston Meeting on Thursday 7^th March 2024 at 7.15pm in Allerston Village Hall.

PRESENT: Cllrs D Hunter (Chair), D Briston, K Stead, G Blunt, A Hall, S Muir and Mrs P Cox (Clerk)

Members of the Public: 12 present

7:15pm start

 

1.     Election of Chairman – Cllr. Hunter was elected by Cllr. Hall and seconded by Cllr. Briston

 

2.     Apologies – Cllr. Davies

 

3.     Open Forum ­– None

 

4.     Minutes of the Annual Meeting held on Thursday 2^nd March 2023 –
Agreed and signed by Cllr. Hunter

5.     Allerston Water

5.1  Annual Water Account It was highlighted that the terms and conditions aren’t clear as to what residents can and can’t do. The Clerk has updated the leaflet to comply and will add some FAQs to further help new residents. The diagram is also to come off the leaflet as it is not clear on a grey scale. It will be uploaded to the website in full colour.

5.2 To confirm water rate of 2024/25 The councillors confirmed that the water rate will increase to £120, with a £10 discount if paid before 31^st May. Farm rates will increase by 10%.
